Have a voice in your community
Lisa and I have been married for 27 years and we moved into Falcon Heights in 2008. We have 2 boys and 4 grandchildren. We live at 1864 Sheldon Street
I have proudly served on the Falcon Heights Fire Department for 13 years, Volunteered coaching youth sports for 17 years in the Falcon Heights/Roseville area.
I have been a self-employed plumbing contractor for 25 years. I know the importance of budgets and fiscal responsibility.
I have always believed that being involved in our community is the best way to get to know your neighbors and the residents. I have never ran for public office before and do not consider myself a politician. I do see the need to help the citizens of this community have a voice in what happens at City Hall I want to help everyone understand the issues that our City faces.
I believe it is the responsibility and a duty of our city leaders to inform residents of the issues that are being discussed. I realize the fact that we all live busy lives. It is not easy to raise your families, work hard at your job and keep up with the discussions our City Council is currently conducting. There needs to be better ways to inform the public about the issues our City is experiencing
Way to often information that is known to the council is not communicated clearly to the residents of our community. Information is a tool we should use to be proactive in our community and the transparency of this information shall (not should) be of utmost importance. I will strive to be a conduit of this information to all who desire it for a complete picture of the issues at hand.
Fiscal Responsibility is a cornerstone of Civic Government. Government does not make money! Government uses our tax money to pay for the services that keep our streets clean and safe, our homes safe and our families healthy. Best practices in the area of contract negotiations are necessary to continue the services we all need and enjoy in order for us to continue to thrive as a community.
Whether you vote for me or not, I ask you to get out and vote for the candidates of your choice. We face many challenges in our society and no one person has all the answers. It will take all the resources of this diverse community to continue our autonomy as the great City of Falcon Heights.
